Me And My Family

Welcome!  So glad you dropped by!  I'm Satchel and I am a 5 year old French Bulldog Aussie Cattledog mix from Portland, Oregon.  I arrived at the Oregon Humane Society on January 27, 2013 after being found wandering around behind an Ikea.  I was abandoned by my last owners because I needed surgery and some continued care before being 100 percent.  No tears here, though!  I have found my forever home!  And so much more than just a home, I'm part of a family!  Here is a picture of me the OHS took, my owner says my smile is what caught his eye first!

My new owners took me home on February 1, 2013.  When I arrived, I had no idea what to expect and what I found was going to take a little getting used to.  I had roommates!  Roommates of different species none the less!  There is Cleo the California King snake, who I really want to play with but my owners won't let me, and there is Lola... That fiesty feline runs the household I swear!  Lola is a Maine Coon who was also rescued from OHS in 2008.  She has attitude for days!  Wait.. Cattitude! Ha!

She may look harmless, but that thing is vicious!  She has claws like lightning and a tongue like sandpaper!  At first, I wanted to play too rough with Lola, but I learned quick.  Claws will do that.  Last but certainly not least I must mention my new owners!  These two are awesome!  We have done so much together since my arrival, it's almost hard to believe it's been over a year already.  Nate is a Bay Area native, a climber, lover of the outdoors, and currently employed with Trader Joe's.  Tori is an Oregonian born and bred, she specializes in the healing arts as a licensed massage therapist and in hula hooping.

Here is just a sampling of our travels together.  We've been to 13 states, traveled thousands of miles, and been to everything from the deserts of Utah to the rainforests in Olympic National Park.  Truly, I think these two were just waiting for me to come around to start adventuring around the country!  Here's a few photos.
